The journal "JOURNAL OF THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY" is a peer-reviewed scientific journal (periodical printed publication) publishing articles on general history, national history, historical theology, practical theology, church history, Orthodox theology, the history of Russian theological science and the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, as well as materials and reports on the activities of the Historical Society of St. Petersburg Theological Academy.

The journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) (Certificate PI No. FS 77-82727 dated 27.01.2022). 

The journal is included in Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory database.

The journal is included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
