The journal "Russian-Byzantine Herald" is a peer-reviewed scientific journal (printed periodical) publishing articles on the history of Russian philosophy and on national history.

The journal is the official publication of the Department of Theology of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor) (Certificate ПИ № ФС77-82726 of 27.01.2022).

By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC), the journal has been assigned to Category K2 for three years from 01/01/2024. 

The journal is included in Ulrich's Periodicals Directory.

The journal is included in Russian Science Citation Index.

The journal is included in the “All-Church List of Reviewed Publications in which Research Results of the Applicants for Ecclesiastical Academic Degrees of the Doctor of Theology, the Doctor of Church History and the Candidate of Theology should be published” (approved on October 09, 2020).
